Teak furniture is considered the gold standard of outdoor furniture that you can choose for your garden or outdoor living space. Teak is the most durable natural product available. This immensely dense timber has a high oil and rubber content. It also contains a natural water repellent which makes it virtually immune to rotting. Teak therefore is ideal for outdoor furniture.
Teak furniture can remain outdoors in any climate year round, and can be left unfinished or protected. It will survive even the most extreme weather conditions. Teak in its natural state is virtually maintenance free. Over time, untreated teak furniture which is exposed to the sun will patina and turn a silvery, grey colour. This process is cosmetic and does not harm the strength or quality of the teak. Teak outdoor furniture can be protected with OSMO oils to retain the original honey colour of the timber if you choose.
Material: This product has been made from solid plantation grown teak. This teak has been kiln-dried to 12-15% moisture content before manufacture. This is to reduce the chance of the teak splitting after manufacture.
