Seal-Guard® outdoor Fabric protection.
 Rug And Carpet Protection Aerosol

Seal-Guard® Rug and Carpet Protection Aerosol is the finest rug and carpet protection available in the world today in an aerosol can and has been developed to protect rugs and carpets, against soiling and the penetration of water and oil-based stains. The product can also be used on all types of fabrics, including outdoor fabrics, suede and leather, car seats, tents, car mats, etc. Seal-Guard® Rug and Carpet Protection Aerosol has many unique features:

  • Easy to use, low odour, high pressure large 350 gram aerosol can.
  • Treats and protects rugs and carpets (including oriental rugs) and fine fabrics from oil and water-based stains.
  • Will not change the colour, look, or feel of the treated material.
  • Is not water-based, so it will not affect dyes and will not cause fabric shrinkage.
  • Lasts up to five years or 3 steam cleans.

As leaders in the research and development of award-winning sealants in the tile industry for over 35 years, our company has used these cutting-edge technologies to bring the same superior rug and carpet protection to the textile industry.

Application Instructions:

Surface must be clean and free from debris. Always test the product in an inconspicuous area for suitability. Apply to clean or new rugs or carpets. Hold the can approximately 30-40 cm above the surface to be treated. In a slow, sweeping motion, spray on rug or carpet evenly. Approximate drying time is two hours at which time repellency can be checked with small drops of water. Water beading should occur when beads of water are dropped onto the surface. Remove water by pressing down gently with white paper towel.

Note: One coat is usually sufficient, but on thick-pile carpet or rugs, or heavily used areas, two coats are recommended for optimum results. If second coat is needed, follow initial application instructions.

After-Care Instructions:

If a spillage occurs, absorb immediately with a clean cloth or white paper towel. A sponge and cold, clean water should be used on any residue or a dried liquid. Do not scrub. For a semi-solid or greasy stain, remove most of the material with a spoon or blunt knife. Mix warm water with a small amount of mild detergent and sponge gently until the stain is removed. It is most important that the residue of detergent be removed immediately with clean, clear water.

Effective Wear:

On rugs and carpets, re-application is recommended after several professional cleanings. If used on upholstery fabrics, product will normally retain its repellency after three steam cleans. However, it is recommended that the water droplet test* be performed on the fabric to ensure continued repellency and product reapplied if necessary. If applied to clothing, the product can last up to ten machine washings. However, it is recommended that repellency be tested after each wash by the water droplet test* as the manufacturer has no control over products used during cleaning or the type of cleaning method. Reapply if necessary. Note: Harsh cleaning methods and high-alkaline or solvent-based cleaners will affect the life expectancy of the product.

Coverage:

One 350g aerosol can will cover up to six square metres of rug or carpet.

*Repellency can be checked with small drops of water. Water beading should result when beads of water are dropped onto the surface. Remove water by pressing down gently with white paper towel.
