About Karri Gum Timber

Karri Gum is one of the strongest timbers in the world and is a premium timber used for outdoor furniture use. Karri Gum timber having 18% more density than Western Australian Jarrah. The heartwood resists the attack of fungi and insects including termites and marine borers and it is rot resistant. Many other timbers require curing, a process of continually hosing and drying until the timber leaches no more sap. Karri gum is completely cured and ready for use straight away with no risk of leaching.

Karri Gum Maintenance.

Karri Gum is a low maintenance timber. In a fully protected environment we recommend oiling with Osmo Oils once a year. In cases where your setting is fully exposed to the elements we recommend re oiling with Osmo Oils at least twice a year. We stock Osmo Oils in store.
